WEEK #17 APRIL 21st – 27th, 2025

Dear Customers,

The last week of April is something I’ve been looking forward to since, well, since long icicles were hanging from the eaves, and the calendar had barely clicked over from 2024!   I just kept reminding myself, “this too shall pass!”  And it finally did !

You may have noticed some changes in our printed weekly ad over the past month or so.  Maybe an explanation is long overdue.  About a month ago, we were completely blindsided when half our advertising department was “furloughed”, which is simply a less painful way of saying, “let go”!  In solidarity or perhaps frustration, the head of that department, soon after, tendered her resignation!  We’ve been scrambling every week since to get an advertisement to print and on our web page.  It’s been quite the struggle but it’s turning around, finally.

Now with warmer weather and longer daylight hours, it’s only natural that more and more of us will be cooking outdoors – both because it just tastes better and because we are loathe to go inside if we don’t absolutely have to after a long and frigid winter.

By now, you’re expecting to see a Meat Bonanza in our ad, but due to the short staffing at the advertising department, we aren’t sure when we will be able to print another one in our ad.  By the time you read this, the problem may have already been rectified but just to be safe . . .you should always check our Facebook page where we add meat department specials every week.

The internet gives us the opportunity to take advantage of special pricing and deals that may come along on the spur of the moment.  When we use our normal ad, we’re locked in to pre-orders and market conditions, that may or may not change!  Imagine picking a special a month in advance and then finding out when the date arrives that it is no longer available or in short supply!

That’s why we urge you to check on-line to find our latest and greatest deals every week.  It’s guaranteed to save you money, particularly on your meat bills.
