Later this week, on Friday to be exact, the federal government will bless us with a legitimate 3-day weekend! No calendar manipulations, no mid-week disruptions. . . a genuine Friday-Saturday-Sunday holiday! Happy 4th of July to us!
On the occasion of America’s 249th birthday you can be guaranteed of celebrations the nation over. There will no doubt be parades, fireworks, concerts, barbeques and picnics from sea to shining sea! You can also be guaranteed that Costa’s meat department will be showcasing a wide variety of attractively priced meat specials on our Facebook page, in addition to the regularly scheduled meat bargains in our weekly ad.
Celebrations in the summer involve among other things, meat, grills, side dishes and lots of company. Costa’s Supermarket has garnered a reputation for our fantastic full-service meat department. We cut our beef, pork, and chicken fresh – 7 days a week. While some stores – even the bigger ones – resort to stocking their meat case by merely opening a cardboard box and removing the shrink wrapped, water infused product inside and placing them in the case, we employ 4 men in our meat department with at least two of them in attendance every day!
As an old hamburger joint jingle used to boast, “special orders don’t upset us!” Having a party? A graduation? A family reunion? . . . or any other special occasion. . . one call to Corey, our meat manager (814-887-5721 ext. #14) and he will professionally give your order the special attention it deserves.
Not many meat departments do so anymore, but we also make all our own sausage, beef sticks, bologna and jerky from scratch – right here on the premises! If you are out and about this holiday week and haven’t checked us out lately, this is the perfect time.
Our business hours will remain the same throughout the holiday, opening at 7am and closing at 9pm every day except Sunday when we open at 8am.
