Dear Customers,
I don’t remember how old I was when I became aware of Christmas. It was probably sometime around the age of 4 or 5. But from that moment and for the next ten years or so, I have nothing but great memories of that holiday. Presents, Christmas trees, glittering colorful lights stretching across Main Street and most houses, Christmas specials on TV and all the family together in one place enjoying traditional holiday delicacies!
I was quite dismayed to discover, though, that upon reaching adulthood Christmas was no longer quite as enchanting. It seems that you spend the rest of your life trying to recreate those magical feelings from your youth – and falling somewhat short! For one thing, Christmas vacation used to last up to two weeks when you’re of school age. As soon as you join the workforce, however, Christmas vacation is ONE DAY!
So that you don’t feel the crunch of holiday shopping deadlines, we are recreating the two-week ad cycle that we employed at Thanksgiving. Weeks #51 and #52 of 2025 – December 15th through the 28th of December will feature the same ad plan. As I said a month ago, maybe an item or two, here or there will be different but by and large – the ads will remain the same for the entire two-week period leading up to and including the actual holiday on December 25th!
This is extremely helpful this time of year when bakers abound, cooks create and epicures eat! Traditional family favorites are extremely important, no more so than at this time of the year and finding the ingredients at sale prices is just an added bonus. Keep in mind that, this year, like every other in the 75-year history of Costa’s Market, we will be closed the entire day of Christmas. * Christmas Eve, we close early at 5pm but every other day, other than the 24th & 25th, we will be here employing our normal business hours!
