Holidays are hectic, everyone can agree. Over the next three days, you’ll probably be making several trips to the grocery store. The first one, to get everything you need for Christmas dinner . . . and the other two to pick up those items which you will have invariably forgotten on the first trip!
Fortunately, Costa’s Supermarket only closes two days a year. Unfortunately for you, one of those days is this Thursday, Christmas Day! Years ago, before the proliferation of cell phones, it wasn’t uncommon to find a wadded up hand-written grocery list on the floor when we’d dustmop. Sometimes, there’d even be two columns; one for Costa’s and the other for Market Basket!
Nothing is a bigger personal pet peeve than forgetting something. That’s why I make all kinds of lists – all the time. I finally downloaded an app called AnyList. Its free and you can make any number of lists (which I do) but the best part is that you can add people to your account, such as your wife or even family members, etc. Now, she can be home or anywhere actually, and decide we need coffee creamer, simply add it to the list and it instantly appears on my phone!
Getting ready for Christmas is stressful enough without wasting time for multiple trips to the store. Our holiday hours are basically the same as our everyday hours with the exception of closing at 5pm on Christmas Eve and being closed all day, Christmas Day.
