This is the week! All the television commercials that started the moment the last trick-or-treater left, the incessant holiday music which began back in early November and all the delicious, decadent sweets that tormented my every waking moment, have conspired to lead up to this special time of year!
Like an avalanche the excitement and the velocity of this week increases as it “rolls down the hill”. The closer we get to Christmas, the more things we discover that we have yet to finish. Sometimes, you don’t know how you’ll get everything done in time!
There’s a simple solution and there has been for over 70 years in Smethport. The staff and selection at Costa’s Supermarket can help you with anything and everything food related. Be it that stately Prime Rib Roast au jus, a succulent ham or turkey, a full array of delicious baked goods and plenty of fresh produce.
We’ll also make your choice of fruit (or fruit & anything else) baskets, party platters or freshly baked breads and rolls. If you’re feeling a bit bogged down in holiday preparations, all you have to do is call 814-887-5721 for the service counter or 814-887-9371 for a direct line to the deli.
And as we have for 73 years, Costa’s Supermarket and Ace Hardware will be closed all day Monday, December 25th for the Christmas holiday, and we will be closing at 5pm on Christmas Eve, Sunday December 24th.
